Concert Band Assignment This Week (8 -15 June)

1. Click HERE to download a recording of Chitlin Con Carne to your computer. If you aren't able to download this recording click HERE for YouTube Link.

2. Log on to FlipGrid and record yourself playing the melody. (Directions below)

3. Bass players and drummers should do two entires: 1. Playing the bass line (bass players) or the groove (drummers) and 2. One where you play the melody.

Directions for logging into FlipGrid:

1. If using phone or tablet you'll need the FlipGrid App.

2. If using computer got to www.flipgrid.com

3. Enter 'dunanbandman' for flip code and student id when prompted.

If you've forgotten your id code, fling me a text message 0423 809 316 and I tell you what it is.

Hi Concert Band Parents and Students.

Apparently today is a public holiday due to the Queens Birthday. That’s not really my thing, so I’m going to hold Zoom Band rehearsal for those who want to join me at 4pm at the usual link. I’m keen for students to get onto FlipGrid and record a short video for me if possible before our meeting. If you can’t do FlipGrid before our meeting, that’s okay, you can still join us.

FlipGrid Works best if you have two devices such as a computer and a smart phone (one device to play a recording and another to make a video).

To get onto FlipGrid you need to download the app if using phone or iPad. On computer you simply go to FlipGrid.com

On main page you enter ‘dunanbandman’ for the Flip Code and then your student ID on the Concert Band Page. If you’ve forgotten your code, I’ve texted them to you (note that the ID’s are case sensitive) and I’ve also put the Zoom Code at the Bottom of this message. Again…there’s no pressure to join us today.

-Download the recordings for Chitlin Con Carne (also available on the Google Drive) Wind players and Bass players will need “Chitlins Challenge NO Melody” and “Chitlins Con Carne Original”

-Drummers will need “Chitlin For Drums” and “Chitlin Con Carne Original”

-Everyone log on To Flip Grid and follow instructions for The Chitlin Challeng”
